SIGENAE means Information System of AGENAE program. The AGENAE program (Analysis of Breeding Animals’ Genome) is an Inra national program with the ambition to developped research in the domain of breeding animal genomics - pig, chicken, trout, cattle -. It associates with public research organizations and international partner.

In this context the SIGENAE team provide an EST contig browser based on the Ensembl software plateform. Ensembl is a joint project between EMBL - EBI and the Sanger Center to develop a software system which produces and maintains automatic annotation on eukaryotic genomes. Ensembl is primarily funded by the Wellcome Trust.
